New beginnings...

I am so happy today to see that my Robins from the last couple of years are back! Their empty nest was there waiting and I was afraid they wouldn't be back here. These are pics I took of them last year (click on them to enlarge~sorry for the really blurry one, I had to include it though because it shows mama feeding the babies~so cool!). I watched them from the time mama Robin was busy building the nest while daddy helped and watched, to the time their three little ones flew from the nest (see recent photos to the right). What an amazing thing to witness, I am so glad they are here~and they are right out my kitchen window so I can just sit, watch and listen!
Thanks again to everyone who called and sent e-mails with concerns about Nathan. We had a great meeting with his teachers; we laughed and cried, and decided we will go through the evaluations to get him certified as Autistic. This will open more doors for him and provide him with the therapy and treatment he will need. He is making huge progress in the Early Childhood Development program he is currently in, and we know that he will only continue to improve now that we know which area to focus on the most, which is language and communication. We have so much to learn and even more to think about in the months to come. Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers.
Today I will spend the day working on future class projects, and doing some errands. We will be working throughout the weekend in the backyard, it's supposed to be pretty nice weather. I hope you all have a great weekend~ especially those of you celebrating the Zone's 4th birthday at the store. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE SCRAPBOOK ZONE!! Now get up there and take advantage of some great sales!

Stacey, I love the robins so much. I have always wanted robins to nest somewhere near me so I can follow them through the whole deal...you are so lucky. They like to nest near people and they usually choose sites with lots of worms. The bird book refers to their nests as cradles of love. Isn't that cute? If you set out a pan of wet clay or mud for them, you will greatly help their building efforts. Robins fly very low across highways, so be careful and watch for them when you are driving...I always watch because it is so easy to hit them. Most birds fly over the height of cars...not robins. Big hugs from me to you and Mark...you have my love as you travel this road with Nathan.

Stacey, Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a great day and we are so very blessed to have the support and patronage from the best scrapbookers around.
I am glad that you have a road map for Nathan ahead of you. I know that the journey will have lots of ups and downs. Remember that is what your friends are here for-lean on us when you need too. Give that sweet big boy a hug from me. Hugs to you!

Stacey,
I love your Robin pictures. You are a great photographer. How lucky you are that they are right outside your window.
I read your links to Autism and learned a lot. Keep us informed about Nate as we will hold your hand through this.
