The boys came home the other day with the movie King Kong, and I thought it was another guy movie that I would not be interested in. While they were watching, I was in the kitchen working on a project, and got drawn into watching with them. First of all the graphics were excellent, kept me on the edge of my seat! And second, was the love story.
When I was around 7 or 8, I watched the original King Kong movie with my family in the living room of my childhood home. When King Kong was killed in the end, I hid under a blanket and cried like a baby. I remember feeling so sad for King Kong. As an adult, I could have done the same thing! What a great movie, you have to see it! Even if you don't think you would like it, it really is a great love story. If you have already seen it, comment and tell me what you think about it.
Whooda thought I would write about King Kong?
Oh, and what in the world happened on American Idol last night? How the heck could Chris get the least number of votes? I am so disappointed, I wanted him to win. My next favorite is Taylor. If someone other than Chris has to win this, I hope it is him. Still can't believe it.
Today the weather is rainy and windy, so I get a break from the yard work and will work on class projects. I am also working on a freelance project that will be pretty time consuming. Classes are my highest priority, so they come first. I hope to post pics of new projects in the next couple of days.
I will be running to the bookstore sometime today to get Meg (Mark's mom) her Mother's Day gift. I am getting her the same thing they got me for Christmas Birds of Michigan Field Guide and audio CD's by Stan Tekiela. I love mine and since they are heading to a log cabin chalet in Gatlinburg ,TN next week, I thought they might like to take it with them (they also hinted that they wanted it). I am also going to pick up a couple books on Autism that Ali recently suggested. With all the information on Autism out there, it is pretty overwhelming, so I will try what she suggests. We can trust Ali, right?
Well, I am off to start the day. Have a great day everyone, hope you stay dry!

I loved King Kong, too, and I DID cry like a baby. Stacey, I suppose you already know that this week's Time magazine has an excellent article on autism. I read it last night. I'm out of the garden, too, today...I'll be cleaning closets.Yuck.
I was so disappointed that Chris got voted off Idol. The Elvis songs he sang were among his best. Boo Hoo.
Guess I like Taylor next...
