Been thinking about (and researching) my career path. In two years or so, Nate will be going to school full time and I want to be ready to get out there and find a good paying job. I am looking at earning my BA in Social Work to add to my BA in Criminal Justice and minor in Youth Services. I am inquiring to Oakland University and hope to get classes started soon. I think the Social Work background will open up more doors for me in my area of interest (working with troubled youth and families). I so desperately want to make a difference in the lives of young people. Many of you do not know, but I had a pretty crappy childhood. Despite all of the obstacles, I was able to overcome and create a life I love. I want to encourage and help other people to overcome and live a life they love, too. I know it will be hard work, and heart breaking at times, but I think it will be worth it if I can make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Becoming a bounty hunter (like Stephanie Plum), just isn't an option for me at this age!LOL!
Now, don't worry girls, I will still be teaching my SB classes at The Zone for at least a couple of years (considering they don't kick me out before then, LOL). I am very lucky to be home with my boys while they are small, and will do it for as long as possible! Teaching classes is something I love, and that I want to do as long as I can.
Today I am off to Devyn's 5th grade graduation party at school. They were supposed to go to the park for the rest of the afternoon, but it looks like rain is coming with a vengeance. Hope there is a backup plan!
Have a great day!

Go for it, Stacey...nothing stands in the way of realizing your dreams. Don't settle for anythiing but your goals.
