In need of a vacation!

I know you must think I have been on vacation, but it is quite the contrary. I have been working my patootie off around the house for the last 2 weeks!

Last Tuesday, my in-laws came to help us with our bathroom project. The guys worked from sunrise to sunset for an entire week. My job was to keep the kids busy, run to the store for the guys, and keep food on the table (beer included), which was pretty exhausting by the time it was over. They left on Monday morning, with the bathroom drywall almost completely finished; Mark just has to do one final sanding and then we are ready for priming and painting. Next there is the tile for the floor and then we wait for the Corian installers to work their magic and it should be done. Hopefully, whithin the next few weeks. We will see.

Once my in-laws left on Monday, my sister arrived an hour later ready to completely re-organize and clean my entire house. I was already exhausted and in need of a serious nap, but she cracked the whip and I worked a few more days to get everything done. Man, she's good. My house has never been so clean (and bare, since she made me throw everything out!). It's a great feeling to have it done. Thanks sis for all of your help. She didn't go home empty handed though, I let her raid my scrapbook room for stuff she wanted. I think she was happy.

So, in other news (pretty major news!), I have been offered a full time position that I am pretty excited about taking. I know, some of you will think I am nuts for wanting to get back to work, but I really do. I love being home with the kids, but I think they are ready, and I have a wonderful sitter for them for the rest of the summer (Karen, my neighbor with the pool and hot tub, that they adore, me too!), and then they both will be in school full time in the fall.
I said I wouldn't accept anything unless it was the perfect fit (didn't really have to, which was nice), and wouldn't you know it, the first company to contact me for an interview WAS the perfect fit. It's exactly what I was looking for, so I am very excited to get started. I will be working in customer service for a food broker company, but what I love about this place is that they encourage you to grow and move into new positions within the company. The girl that interviewed me both times I had to go in will be my boss, and I think she will be really great to work for. I start next Tuesday already (the 17th) and I can't wait! I know, I am CRAZY!:)

I will still be teaching my classes at the store, and plan to continue as long as it doesn't cause too much stress on the family. We will have to see how it goes.

Speaking of scrapbooking, I really want to get back into it. I have been so preoccupied with the house that I haven't had a lot of time to focus on it at all. I hope to get to the Zone soon to just sit all day and work on stuff. I have so many new summer pictures that I can't wait to use.

This weekend we will be camping for the first time with Nate. We got this amazing tent to see how it goes (it's huge, compared to the tents we had as kids), and we are trying to get everything together. Should be fun. I pray for the kind of weather we are having today!

So, that's about it for now. I hope you are keeping cool so far this summer!:)
