it's summertime and the livin' is easy.....

and also busy! (is that a contradiction or what?)
I have to admit, we've had a little of both. We spend each day at the pool, and when we aren't there, I am finally getting my Spring cleaning done (cleaned the carpets, went through all the kids clothes) and there are still many things to do around the house. This week I will clean the walls, take many, many bags to the Salvation Army, and get some projects done for upcoming classes. I know, I say that all the time, but it's like a full time job! I have gotten a few things done that I am really happy with, just haven't taken photos of them yet. Will post them soon.

My sis came to visit for a few days this week. We had a good time. We headed out on Thursday morning for the Wixom city wide garage sales. I got Nathan a ton of things, but nothing for anyone else. Gotta love a good deal though, eh? She's coming back in a couple of weeks to help me do some painting and straightening. My sis is and always has been a neat freak. I let things like the pool and fun get in my way of cleaning, and I don't regret it a bit!:)
Devyn was gone all last week to football camp. He worked hard and had a great visit with his cousins, who also attended the camp. I loved summer's spent with cousins when I was a child. So many fun memories!

Here are a few pics I took of my sister's family while they visited. I can't believe how fast these kids are growing, especially my Chelsea Rae. She's 10 but looks like she's 13. humph.

I am loving the new Stephanie Plun novel (Lean, Mean 13). So much fun to read. Just a few pages left and then I have to wait a whole year for the next one. Sorta dissapointing, but worth the wait.

In the garden, things are doing great. Everything is doing what it was supposed to do and I am loving it. All but my Annabelle Hydrangea. Seems it has root rot and I will have to take it back to the greenhouse that I bought it from. Bummer. They will replace it though, so no worries. I already have new plans swarming around in my head about changing the front of the house (garden and color). I tell ya, it never ends!

So, that pretty much sums up what we have been doing around here. I hope you are enjoying your summer so far! ttfn!

our days sound pretty much the same, except the cleaning part. ick. I try to avoid it at all costs.
