What a weekend!

We had a great weekend visiting with Mark's parents. They came to our house on Saturday morning and stayed the weekend. Saturday night we had a hillbilly party to celebrate the Bristol Nascar race. It was planned entirely by my husband, from the pulled pork sandwiches, to the lottery and prizes during the race. Prizes included a DVD of the first season of "You might be a redneck if..." by Jeff Foxworthy, and a pair of boxers covered with fish. Yeah, they were fun prizes. And lucky me, I won three out of the six of them!:) Good times.

I also had a blast shopping today at the mall with my mother in law. I got a couple of new fall outfits and some other goodies that I wouldn't normally buy for myself. I had to keep telling myself that it's okay, and felt a little guilty, but don't we all need to splurge once in awhile? Feels good~ it was worth it!

Watching the Emmy's right now, just until Design Star starts at 9 on HGTV. That show has me hooked, along with every other show on that channel. Fun stuff.
