Well today the kids finally went back to school. We had a great Thanksgiving vacation visiting with family and just chillin' at home. I have been working on class projects for the next schedule, and cleaning the house thoroughly. Something I always do before Christmas. Last night we put the lights up outside, and this weekend we will get the tree out. Fun stuff.
I love that things have slown down a bit for me. I feel so much more creative when I am not pressed for time. All I want to do is scrapbook! I want to make some pages and submit them and get more involved that way again. We will see. It is a lot of work just submitting them, but I would love to get another page published. Which reminds me, "The Joy of Scrapbooking Kids" by Cantata books will be out in Janaury with my layout in it! Can't wait to see it. It has been FOREVER is seems since they picked up my layout. I do hear that the book is worth the wait though. Hard covered and nicely done.
I was able to head up to The Zone on Sunday all day (decided to do that at 9 in the morning that same day!) and got only a couple things done (they took me all day!). I want to go up again soon to get more done. Right now I am working on my altered art doll for January. I have the body cut out, now I just need to decorate. So out of the norm for me, which makes it all the more fun!
I think I am almost done shopping for the kids. Got Nate a really cool train set that I can't wait for him to see. The other day I was looking at one online and it had train sounds on the website. Nate heard it from the other room and went into his bedroom, dug out the wooden train track from his toybox and put it together to play with all day long. I just wanted to go out to the garage and give it to him right then. I am such a sucker! I think I got Devyn all the fun stuff he wanted this year (except for the TV for his room and the PS3 that costs over $600!). I love spoiling my kids at Christmas time. Maybe a little too much.
Well, I just got back from a nice walk through the park with Haley, and I am now off to the grocery store and to run a few errands. I hope you are all recooperated from the Turkey and stuffing!
Be back soon!:)
