I am a confessed blog slacker! Since the kids went back to school last Wed., I have been a busy girl, enjoying some time away from the house (hint: shopping!). Man, am I having fun!

The first week of school went great for both boys. Devyn loves his new school and is getting around the building okay. His only complaint is a two page paper due on Monday. Welcome back to school.
Nate is having a ball~ he loves everything about school! In fact, through the entire weekend he has been asking when the bus will come. Not soon enough son, not soon enough. (did I just say that???). Really, I do love my kids.

What else? I decided to go in with a friend to do a craft booth at a church in FH in November. I'm very excited to see how it works out. I've been making planners left and right~ I forgot how much time they take! I have so many gift giving projects in mind, I can't wait to get them started. I think I will make up some "dates to remember" Rolodexes, Christmas cards, scrapbook pages, and paper bag books. I might also decorate some large letters for the wall, like "Joy" and "Noel". My main focus will be on planners though. What do you think?

Mark is getting ready for hunting season to start. This always means that any chance he gets he will be up north through the end of December. It's a tough time for me, especially since we don't see him much during the week as it is, and we have no family living close by to help us out. (I know, me, me, me. It is my blog.). I try to remember how hard he works everyday, and I know he deserves to do this~ but every weekend??? I think I'm gonna start going on scrapbooking retreats every weekend for three months. How do you think that will go over?? I am evil, I know.

So I will try to think positive and find things for the three of us to do while he is gone. Like going to the Cider Mill, and taking long walks with the dog. Maybe visit my sister and family back home that I haven't seen all summer. I really want to visit my Grandma Kasprus, whom I adore, and haven't seen in forever! She and my grandfather, who died last year, owned a dairy farm from the time they were married until the early 90's. The Kasprus name was well known for farming in the area I grew up in, which is mostly a farming community. I worked on that farm everyday growing up, and loved it. We picked rocks from fields, took care of newborn calves, bailed hay, you name it. I miss that farm and the beautiful stone farmhouse my dad grew up in. I wish I had pictures and a more detailed history. Maybe I will try and get some of those things from her when I visit.

Didn't know I was going to ramble on with my family history, did ya??

The boys just left to take a drive (looking for good hunting spots), so I am going to take advantage of a little free time. Hope you all have a great day!

Ramble all you want isn't that the point of blogging. ;) Good luck with the craft fair, I hope you sell tons of stuff. I see no reason why you can't scrap every weekend in Jan/Feb/Mar! Ha JK.

slacker.
I also thought of the craft fair idea with planners & such, I was just too lazy to do anything about it! Hope it goes well for you!

The craft fair sounds like a great idea...especially those decorated letters I bet they'll be popular!
