Good news!

I got this in my inbox today:

Dear Stacey , We wanted to touch base to update you on the status of your lovely
page Nathan Today. Your artwork is appearing in our book, The Kodak Book of
Scrapbooking Your Children. The book is full color and filled with terrific art.
We are so proud to feature your work along with hundreds of other stunning pages
created by outstanding artists around the world. We will be sending out copies
to artists at the time that the book is released in January 2007. Thank you
again for being a part of this project. We look forward to sharing the book with
you upon publication. Best, Cantata Books, Inc.

So exciting!

I am also so very excited about leaving this Thursday for CHA in Chicago! Got a couple new outfits and my camera and I am ready (almost) to go! I will be sure to share all the details with you when I return on Sunday. I will have tons o pictures and lots to share!

Took Nate for a second opinion (another speech evaluation). This therapist also suggested that he may have Auditory Processing disorder (which I did not doubt; APD cannot be fully diagnosed until they are 7 or 8, but all the signs are there). This is a good thing; to know what is going on and start getting treatment at this young age. We go on Wednesday for a second opinion on wether or not he needs Occupational Therapy. I am torn on that one. Not sure he has all the sensury issues his current therapist suggests, so this second opinion will be what I need. Don't get me wrong, she is a great OT and Nate loves her, but I am just not 100% convinced yet that he needs it. We will see. I am also hoping I can find some insurance coverage for both therapies somehow. Let the fight begin!

I am starting to think about Fall. Nate's b-day is in October and we always have our family down for a big party. This year he will be turning 4. Can't believe it. Anyway, I always like to put on a sort of Halloween themed party where the kids carve pumpkins and we have food with the flavors of fall. Love that time of year.

Huge storm hit here last night but all seems to be okay at our house. The power went out immediately when the storm hit (around 11:30), but came back on at around 3 this morning. I was worried about my baby robins (who are getting ready to leave the nest today, I think). One little bugger left two days ago and I worried about him during the storm. Was he with his mom? Was he being blown away somewhere? I hope not. The other two are now huddled outside of the nest. They are big enough to go, but like generations before them, they are a little nervous. Mark thinks I am nuts for getting so into these robins. Must be my motherly instincts to worry about them too.

What else??? Having breakfast with my good friend Terry tomorrow morning. That will be super fun. She just got back from an amazing trip, so I can't wait to see her pictures. She is so much fun, just love her.

Well, that's about it for now. I will post before I leave for my trip on Thursday. Have a great Tuesday and Wednesday everyone!:)

Is your Nathan Today hanging in the shop? I really want to see it. Can you post it? Congratulations, Stacey! You deserve every recognition you receive. I love to hear your stories about the robins...I can just see them hovering on the ledge beside the nest...do you have photos? Have fun with Terry!
